  1. Superb Underwater photoshoot with very surreal results. As brilliant as it
    is……. and i don’t want to dampen anyone’s dive, but… what’s
photoshop for?….. even so, great stuff!

  2. So much post processing done on those photos they don’t look real anymore.
He might as well have just photo shopped the models in.

  3. Wow! Those models have bigger balls than all the male divers there… I am
a diver myself but id fill my pants to just sit there with bo breather and
wait for somebidy to take a shot! Congrats everybody

  5. In febuary I did a shoot with 2 models, 5 divers in an underwater shipwreck
in Bali. See how it came together.

  6. Inspire your photography by watching this behind-the-scenes look at Von
    Wong’s epic underwater photoshoot!

  7. *Inspired, Passionate People*
    *surround yourself with them*

    A craxy, beautiful idea!

Taken recently off the coast of Bali, these surreal photos are the creation
of Montreal-based director and photographer Benjamin Von Wong, known for
his exceedingly difficult photoshoots. Where it might be more practical to
create the complex aspects of these photos digitally, Von Wong took a
different path and assembled a team of two models who also happen to be
trained freedivers, 7 additional support divers, and obtained special
permission to utilize a 50-year-old underwater shipwreck. The entire shoot
took place 25 meters below the surface, and because of the extreme
conditions and limitations, he relied heavily on natural light to create
the final images you see here.
You can watch the video above to see how the photoshoot came together and
read more about the process over on his blog. (via PetaPixel, My Modern

  10. Amazing shots you got. I’m a model in the Philippines- Half American, Half
Filipina and I am also a Certified Scuba Diver and Free Diver. If you need
a model in the future to do an underwater photoshoot like this I would be
happy to do it! I absolutely love the ocean and always wanted to do a
professional underwater photoshoot but there is a lack of passion for that
here. I would be so excited if I could work with a team like yours. Great
    job!

  12. Absolument magnifique!!
    Wonderful works but definitely dangerous!
Any chance that you would consider doing a workshop one day in Paris?

  13. Sometimes when I feel my own work is not up to par even to my own
standards, things like this come along and remind me why I left my stable
full time employment to pursue my passion..

    Also note to self:
    1) continue to be passionate
    2) surround yourself with like-minded people

  14. CGI can produce better result with NO diving. I have family members
working for ILM (Ind. Light & Magic) and if you want to step up, then ILM
can produce MOTION effects where VonWong can’t. This is way too much money
and effort for a still shot that can be done 100 times better
    with graphic arts.
