The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1963)

AKA “The Head That Wouldn’t Die”, originally filmed in 1959 but took awhile before it had “legs”. A Z-movie “classic”, it’s the tale of an obsessed surgeon who, having inadvertently decapitated his fiancee in an auto accident–and don’tcha hate when that happens?–determines to keep her alive while he goes looking for a bodacious bod onto which he can reattach her cranium. Oh, and did I mention the misshapen mutant monstrosity he keeps locked in the lab closet? They just don’t make ’em like this any more. (At least, not on purpose.)
