Bhagavad Gita 4.11-12

In the spiritual world, one devotee may want Krishna as his master, another as his personal friend, another as his son, and still another as his lover, and Krishna rewards all these devotees according to their different intensities and varieties of love for Him. In the material world, the same reciprocations of feelings between the devotees and the Lord are there. Thus both here and in the transcendental abode, pure devotees associate with Krishna in person and enjoy transcendental bliss by rendering Him varieties of loving service.
