6 Replies to “Expectations: The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy”

  1. By the way, self-fulfilling prophecy, although currently widely spread, it
is mostly noted in positions of so-called authority, such as the example in
the video, hence why the planet and the world** do not truly progress (Do
not progress at a rate proportionate to the potential of the population,
thus at an effective rate) Again, it is about maliciousness and prejudice.
The vast majority of people in positions of authority, have significant
    degrees of them. **Populated planet

  2. Non-thinking people’s expectations… And the weak-individuals who fall
trapped into them. Both groups conform to demand-characteristics and
group-references. In any case, it involves pressure to conform, whether
peer-related or not, and it involves a variable degree of blind-obedience
(The non-thinking aspect) The foundation of it, may go from a most
malicious tendency to a simplest form of prejudice; both lack reason, thus
involve imposition. BTW, schools to-day are centres of prejudice…

  3. Also, these not-really-thought expectations, obviously are present wherever
there is lack of reason (To-day most people) resulting in proportionate
failure, whether it is marriage, a neighbourhood, a city, etc. As the
persons involved merely reflect and project their expectations, values,
    etc, their social-prejudice and/or maliciousnesses.

  4. Also, the first word of the description of the video ought be how, not why,
because it is describing a process, not motive/s. In any case, I understand
that communication is connotational and contextual, thus I comprehend why
the word why was employed – also most people interchange the terms how and
why, usually giving preference to the latter
