There are “active investigations” “by the appropriate entity” into reports of misappropriation of funds by certain elements in fiscal 2021.
That’s what the Auditor General told Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee on Wednesday during a virtual hearing.
However, the Assistant Auditor General said that where COVID expenditure in fiscal 2021 is concerned, “there was no fraud per say”.
