“7 Habits of Highly Effective People” author Stephen Covey on the role choice has in managing change and accomplishing what we want. Leadership Training Vide…
@hareeshgnair listen to Eckhart Tolle. I personally think its both – we
have free will to choose but are also conditioned by our past on a
subconscious level.
i didnt understand the point…is it about the how we respond to whatever
happens to us? if yes…what should be our response?and how does our
response to past events influence our current issues? sorry if my question
was dumb…
tHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE PEOPLE OF TODAY. THEY DO NOT ACTUALLY LIVE BY
THE PRINCIPLES AND THEY HAVE A DISTORTED LENS IN WHICH THEY SEE REALITY.
LIKE YOU. READ HIS BOOK 7 HABITS…/ READ IT AND REALLY TRY TO LIVE IT
DAILY AND YOU WILL SEE THE POWER OF HIS CONCEPTS.
what really matters is if we try our hardest. because that’s the only thing
we can control. Life circumstances, chance, talent, luck which all
contribute to success are all out of our control.
THIS MAN IS THE REAL DEAL.! HIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT. AND ALTHOUGH I LIKE TONY
ROBBINS BOOK AS WELL, I THINK STEPHEN COVEY’S BOOK IS MORE ORGANIZIED AND
PRINCIPAL ORIENTED.. i LIKE HIS BOOK BETTER THAN TONY ROBBINS.
Took me a week to read this book and within this past week, my relationship
has changed significantly towards my husband. Although I doubt he will read
it, I know how to take responsibility and listen fully. Mr. Covey has “it”.
I just got done reading the book today and am going to turn around and read
it in its entirety all over again. I bought a beautiful journal to write
notes, ideas down while I really pick this book to pieces. I’m addicted!
I have been reading his book 7 habits of highly effective people. It HAS
CHANGED MY LIFE! JUST GET IT AND READ IT LIVE IT TEACH IT! BEST BOOK I HAVE
READ NEXT TO THE JOEL OSTEEN BOOKS!
I’ve been living my life accoring to Dr Coveys principles. My life gets
better every day. I use this book as a resource for teaching in secondary
school. Thank you DR!!!!!!!!!
I was a homeless drug addict and alcoholic for a very long time (26 year
addiction and 14 years homeless). One day I looked at my environment and
grew weary. I was sick, poor, and living in a men’s shelter. I made the
decision to go home (where my addictions began) and face down my personal
demons. With determination and a burning desire to change, I went through
rehab, saw my past for what it had become, and forgave it and let it go. 7
years later I’m learning to succeed.
For people who can’t seem to find the time to the read the book, buying the
audiobook version of it helps a lot. I listen to it while I’m at work,
while I’m driving or even when I’m working out. Gives a good feeling aswell
cause then you feel twice as productive ^^, ofc if you are to really go for
the tips and turn those tips into practice you’re gonna have to sit ur ass
down at some point and write down how to go about doing so.
By chance I found a set of video tapes from one of his lectures on the 7
habits maybe a year ago. I got the set of 6 tapes for free, the bookstore
was tossing things out. There is a lot of wisdom in what he shares, speaks
loads from probably his cultivation of himself as well as the gifts and
knowledge he has received from others through reading and experiences. It
was very very useful, a wakeup call to listen to the talk. I had heard
those things before, but not as clearly and simply as his.
His book. 7 habits of highly successful people has truly changed my life .
I read it at least 5 times and I am now using it in my daily life as a tool
for positive change. Dr. Stephen Covey is the Best!
7 Habits Of Highly Effective People is such an understated title. If you’ve
read it, taught it and applied it, you’ll know it should be called The
Secret Of A Successful Life! The habits and the way they bring one from
private to public victory is just awe inspiring! Each habit has So So much
within itself. There’s nothing more to say after the 7 habits. They connote
the secret of life, and everything changed when I began living them
Yes it is, but by somebody underlining that sense and getting you to really
look at yourself and acknowledge it is the real power behind it. By living
it, applying it and teaching it is what ultimately makes you more
effective. You can know what to do, and how to do it, but if you dont want
to do it, it’s not a habit.
The key word of this program is “reivent yourself” and develop the tools of
emotional inteligence for people to accomplish all the goals by adquiring
the habits. Kuddos on Cowey. This book far exceed my expectations…
@Vyshakdinesh That’s the whole point, you get to Choose your response.
Whatever response you choose is entirely up to you not your past or
environment or upbringing.
What amazes me is that there are only 64,334 views on this video and yet
you put something of a lesser value up on you tube and it sky rockets,
ie…charlie the horse? I mean what is that? These principles are a bases
of creating wealth and healthy relationship beyond the norm, we are
wondering what is wrong with our world today. Take a look around and take
stock in your children.
This guy needs to GET REAL. Success is not a choice but a desire everybody
wants. HOWEVER, success is DIRECTLY proportional to the AMOUNT of sabotages
and ambushes and opportunities one gets in his or her life. Less sabotages
and ambushes and more opportunities EQUAL more success! Period! Believe me,
there are envious dark twisted assholes out there!
sometimes we can say steps in success is ‘common sense’, but really
somtimes we need to recall those basics things from the others to step
fordward and be succesful..great video. thanks
Stephen R Covey is my unseen GURU
A healthy addiction.. but still an addiction? joseph
