Bhagavad Gita 4.6-8

When the Supreme Lord Krishna appears on earth, he appears in His own eternal, original form — with two hands, holding a flute. He does not change His body, as we common living entities change our body at death and enter another. In the material world, the living entity has no fixed body but transmigrates from one body to another. The Lord, however, does not do so.
